Anyma has announced a rare concert at Egypt’s Great Pyramids of Giza, the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The performance on October 10th represents a “defining moment” for the superstar DJ and producer, according to a press release.

Erected roughly 4,500 years ago, the ancient Pyramids are fitting for Anyma’s spellbinding brand of techno. The 10-hour event, running from 5pm to 3am local time, will utilize custom lighting and stage production technology to create what organizers describe as an “all-encompassing” sensory experience.

The show will span two distinctive segments: Anyma’s “Quantum” concept presented as a DJ set, followed by his groundbreaking audiovisual show “The End Of Genesys,” which recently wowed audiences at the Vegas Sphere as he became the venue’s first-ever electronic headliner.

The latter production is centered on Anyma’s android, Eva, who symbolizes the merging of humanity and technology. Its storyline follows her journey through creation and self-awareness, exploring themes of evolution, connection and the pursuit of higher consciousness through surrealist visuals, like forests pulsating with bioluminescent veins and humanoid figures writhing in unison to the music.

Anyma is playing two sets over the course of the evening in Egypt, but will not be performing for the full 10 hours. Additional artists will be announced at a later date.

His performance continues a trend of high-profile electronic music events at the Pyramids. Techno legend Carl Cox performed a historic DJ set in May 2023 before Aly & Fila followed with a co-headlining event alongside the iconic trance trio Above & Beyond. The chart-topping Keinemusik collective then performed at the site in April 2024, delivering a set that was ultimately named by EDM.com as one of the year’s best.

Tickets are available exclusively through TicketEgypt, with organizers warning that purchases from unauthorized sources will not be honored. The event carries a 21-and-over age restriction.
