Alison Wonderland has teamed up with QUIX and MEMBA for “PSYCHO,” a track that shows what happens when you give a group of brilliant producers complete creative freedom and zero restrictions.

The Australian artist has always been something of a sonic shapeshifter, and “PSYCHO” proves she’s still happily refusing to stay in one lane for longer than 30 seconds. She also brought in Erick the Architect of Flatbush Zombies, whose raw, primal hip-hop sensibilities are a perfect fit for a trap banger that can only be described as unhinged.

“This is a huge collaboration with some of my favorite people in the industry. This song is insane,” Wonderland said. “I can’t believe the label let me make it a single. Trap over everything.”

“PSYCHO” will appear on Wonderland’s upcoming fourth studio album, Ghost World, which she’s referred to as a “refuge” for lost souls. The new single bursts through that promise with fangs bared, daring listeners to confront their own chaos before they can find peace. This contrast suggests that finding refuge doesn’t mean escaping madness, but learning to hold it close without letting it consume you.

The production, however, tells a different story. Wonderland, QUIX and MEMBA go full Exorcist, producing a deranged banger that mutates from trap to breakbeat to techno.

Meanwhile, Wonderland weaponizes beauty as camouflage through lyrics illuminating that pretty faces hide untreated wounds. Her own distorted vocals shriek: “I’m a psycho, no one knows / I got a pretty face, so they gotta diagnose / That I love it when you notice all the thorns on my rose / I’m a blood-redded alien, one eye closed.”
