Flux Pavilion has revisited one of the most recognizable tracks in dubstep history, ” I Can’t Stop,” releasing a new version of the song that originally helped cement his reputation during the genre’s explosive rise in the early 2010s.

The heavy-hitting rework is officially titled “I Can’t Stop (Flux’s Version)” and it reflects a deliberate effort to reclaim control over the track after years of complicated licensing, he explained in a statement on his social media.

Originally released in 2010, “I Can’t Stop” quickly rose to prominence with its soaring vocal sample, thunderous bassline and melodic sensibility, which helped it cross from underground UK dancefloors into global acclaim. The track dropped on his own label, Circus Records, but he says he had to hand over the master recording to another imprint after signing “a big recording deal.”

“No regrets and we got to do some great things alongside some amazing people,” Flux wrote. “But a downside is that it’s made it pretty tricky to release VIP’s and remixes of those tracks. So, me and my brother Doctor P have (painstakingly) rebuilt ‘I Can’t Stop’ from scratch and we will now have the rights to do whatever we want with it.”

By reconstructing the production alongside his longtime collaborator, he gained full ownership of the new master, giving him freedom to release edits without label interference. The track arrives as the first in a series of updated recordings and the producer has hinted that additional versions and reworks will appear soon, marking a new chapter for one of dubstep’s most enduring anthems.
